Is it because you had a bad experience with a certain religion?And if so…then do you think that if you would have had a personal relationship with God rather then follow a religion, that you may still be a believer? Or is it because you really do get your explanations from science? I’m not being disrespectful I would just like to better understand different people’s situations. So no trash talking okay…. Dear Person, It’s likely we’ve never met but soon you’ll know more about me than anyone I’ve ever spoken to. When people meet me, they see me as a goofy guy, but they fail to see the pain that’s inside me… Everyday for the past few years, I have constantly reminded myself of the problems I’ve been facing on a daily basis. My guy friend dropped a bomb on me back in Oct. He stated that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me,& all his future plans include me. We have known each other about 15 yrs. I have been living next door to my neighbor for about 4 years now. Being neighbors, we always run into each other; i.e., doing lawn work, taking out the trash, getting the mail, or just hanging out on our back deck. We have always had long interesting conversations regarding just about anything, and we both obviously enjoyed conversation, however yesterday was something entirely different. We were hanging out on our back deck and of course with the economy and housing prices the way they are, that’s what we talked about. Hi, i just got done reading the chosen for school, and it made me think of religion. I’m starting to see why people don’t like the jews, but thats horrible!! Anyway, I see a lot of questions and answers on YA that talk trash about Christians (And vice-versa, of course) and I can’t help but feel offended. Talking on here, I think we can clearly see there are as many asshole Christians and Atheists as non-asshole Christians or Atheists. They represent the majority here. No one I know follows God out of fear of going to hell. I am aware of the history of my religion but I’m also aware of the history of my country. I am not afraid of God just as I am not afraid of White people. Please don’t talk trash to me this time because I am not saying anything negative about Atheist nor am I trying to “convert” anyone.
