The health care bill that passed the Senate will require that private, for-profit insurance companies offer their products to a pool of around 33 million new customers. Those customers are required to purchase the insurance, even if they don’t want it. For those that can’t quite afford the insurance, a subsidy will be provided. Those that refuse will be fined, but will still be able to purchase the insurance if and when they need it. So first, those private companies stand to make billions in new profits from this untapped market, especially when one considers that some of those who will be required to purchase the insurance won’t need to use it, at least for a while, so their payments will be strictly, pure profit. Question by yagman: Muslims, could you please help me with this? I recently posted a question and referred to a group as RADICAL ISLAM. One muslim answered and said I should not call this group “radical islam” because their violence and terrorism proved that they were not truly muslim. He felt I was creating a category called “radical islam” that actually doesn’t exist because one cannot be truly a muslim and also be radicalized and violent. He was offended by my use of this term. After reading his answer I can see how he would be offended. Problem is, how does one refer to this group of terrorists who use violence to achieve their ends without offending true muslims.
