Question by Pookie: Aren’t radical Muslims and moderate Muslims really very similar? I mean both of them think they represent “true Islam”. They both look forward to Islamic rule of the earth. They want the world to convert to Islam and everyone to follow the Quran. They both see western civilization as corrupt and doomed to failure. The only difference is that moderates think they can live in harmony with the west until the west recognizes their errors and convert to Islam. The radicals think that Muslims cannot live in harmony with the west without being corrupted by them. So they take a more proactive opposition to the west. Do you agree? People just cling to one side, never take any sort of look at the other side, and just throw the nastiest rhetoric around. I mean its good to have a wide range of strong opinions but there is just no respect for the other side. Its sad really.
